Digital Course Refund & Cancellation Policy

Digital course purchases are generally not voluntarily refundable after access or download for a simple change of mind, except where applicable law gives the customer a cancellation or other remedy.

Course sales are not yet open. This is a launch-preparation policy. The academy must first publish complete legal seller and customer-service contact details and implement a checkout that can be reviewed and corrected before payment.

1. Before you buy

Read the course description, learning format, level, included downloads, access method and total price carefully. Our downloadable programmes teach theory and business knowledge; a course-completion certificate is not accreditation or permission to perform tattooing or permanent makeup on a person.

2. Digital delivery and immediate access

Where a course is marked available, we intend to provide access digitally following a verified payment. The exact start time, content list and any fixed access period will be shown at checkout and in the purchase confirmation. Courses marked “in development” are not sold.

3. Change-of-mind requests after access

Because downloadable content can be retained after delivery, the academy does not ordinarily offer discretionary refunds solely because a learner changes their mind after access has begun. This is not an exclusion of statutory cooling-off rights, a guarantee that every download is exempt from cancellation, or a restriction on remedies for faulty or undelivered content.

4. South African cooling-off rights

Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) gives consumers a seven-day cooling-off right for qualifying electronic transactions, subject to section 42 exceptions. Some transactions involving books, certain non-returnable goods and services commenced with consent may be excluded. Whether an individual course transaction qualifies for an exception depends on its legal character and circumstances. If a statutory cooling-off right applies, the customer may exercise it despite having accepted these terms. A checkbox requesting immediate access does not automatically remove statutory rights.

5. If content is missing, defective or incorrect

If purchased content is unavailable, cannot be accessed, is materially different from its description, or is defective, contact us with your order number. We will investigate promptly and, as appropriate under applicable law, restore access, supply a working copy, correct the problem, or give the legally required refund or other remedy. This does not delay or waive mandatory rights.

6. Duplicate payments and unauthorised transactions

Duplicate charges and credible unauthorised-payment reports will be reviewed. Customers retain their rights to raise a dispute with their payment provider. We will not impose arbitrary chargeback penalties.

7. Requesting cancellation, support or a refund

Send the course name, order reference, purchase date, contact email and a short explanation to the official support channel listed on our Seller Information page. Never send passwords or full card details. We will handle applicable statutory deadlines, including the refund timelines required by ECTA where relevant.

8. No misleading waiver

Terms of sale, immediate-access acknowledgements and licence rules operate only to the extent permitted by law. No clause in this policy removes rights protected by the Consumer Protection Act, ECTA or other applicable consumer legislation.
