THE FINE LINE ACADEMY
Course usage & copyright

Copyright & Single-Student Course Licence

Course access is for the individual student who purchased it. Your purchase allows learning and practical business use, not redistribution.

At a glance: You may study, print personal exercises and use adapted business forms in your own studio. You may not share PDFs, blank templates or your login, or resell our course content.

1. Your personal licence

When you lawfully purchase a course, The Fine Line Academy grants the named purchaser a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the purchased materials for their own learning and professional planning. Purchasing a course does not transfer copyright or ownership of its content.

2. What you may do

You may read the course, download the materials made available to you, make reasonable personal study copies and print exercises for your own use. You may adapt completed business forms, quotes and client communication templates for the ordinary operation of your own tattoo or PMU business. Any statutory copyright exceptions remain unaffected.

3. What you may not do

Without written permission, you may not share your login, provide course files to another person, upload manuals or templates to group chats or file-sharing services, publish substantial course content online, sell or licence copies, use the materials to train paying students, or distribute the academy’s original blank templates as your own commercial products.

4. One purchaser, one account

Each course purchase is for one student. Business teams, teaching organisations and schools should contact the academy for a separate multi-user or training licence. Use of adapted client-facing business forms by a single licensed student is allowed as described above.

5. Copyright and third-party materials

Original material in these courses is protected to the extent provided by applicable copyright law. Third-party content, if any, remains the property of its respective rights holders. The Fine Line Academy brand is the public-facing publisher name; ownership of copyright and legal contracting entity depend on the applicable legal details.

6. Access, misuse and enforcement

Course access may be reviewed or restricted if there is credible evidence of unauthorised account sharing or redistribution, subject to fair notice and applicable law. We may request that unlawfully shared copies be removed and pursue legally available remedies. No automatic penalty or fixed infringement fine applies under this licence.

7. Watermarking and privacy

Purchased files may display the student’s name, order reference or another reasonable purchaser identifier to discourage redistribution. Any personal information used for this purpose must be handled under the academy’s privacy notice and applicable data-protection law. Purchaser-specific watermarking will be added only once a working delivery system is deployed.

8. Digital products and consumer rights

This licence is separate from the academy’s Digital Course Refund Policy. Nothing here removes any rights under South African consumer or electronic-transactions law, including legally permitted exceptions, remedies for non-delivery or defective digital content, and rights against unfair contract terms.

9. Questions and permissions

To request group licences, reproduction permission, accessibility alternatives or support, contact the academy using the official support details displayed on the live website. Do not send private credentials to anyone.
