Student Terms & Conditions of Sale

These terms explain what a student receives, the limits of theory-only training, the personal course licence and how purchases will work when the shop launches.

No live checkout is currently enabled. The legal seller details and support contact must be completed before these terms are used for real purchases.

1. The seller and agreement

The Fine Line Academy is the public-facing educational brand. The contracting seller’s full legal name, legal status, physical address, service address, telephone number and email must appear on the Seller Information page before course sales are enabled. A purchase will be governed by the course description, these terms, the Refund Policy and the Course Licence presented to the customer before payment.

2. Courses and training limitations

Courses are self-paced theoretical and business education delivered through PDFs, spreadsheets, templates and written assignments, unless a product page explicitly states otherwise. No course on this site is represented as an accredited qualification, a practical assessment, professional authorisation, or a licence to carry out invasive tattoo or permanent makeup procedures. Practical competence requires appropriate in-person supervised training and evaluation.

3. What is included

The product page must clearly disclose course content, delivery method, whether it is complete or in development, any prerequisites, whether materials are downloadable, the access duration and all applicable charges. The advertised purchase price will be shown in South African rand, inclusive of applicable taxes if any, with any additional charges disclosed before payment.

4. Ordering and payment

Before the final order, students must be able to review their cart, correct errors and cancel. The academy will use a secure payment processor. Payment-card information should be entered only into that provider’s secure checkout. A course is not sold or unlocked until the payment has been verified by the academy’s server-side system. Test payments do not grant real course access.

5. Student account and access

A purchaser must supply accurate account information and keep credentials confidential. Access is ordinarily personal to the named buyer and cannot be transferred or shared. Account suspension for misuse will require a fair basis and appropriate notice, without restricting mandatory consumer rights. Service interruptions will be addressed through reasonable support and applicable remedies.

6. Digital delivery, cancellation and refunds

Delivery and access start at the time specified during checkout after verified payment. The Digital Course Refund & Cancellation Policy describes how change-of-mind requests, statutory cooling-off rights, non-delivery, defects and payment errors are handled. Nothing in these terms takes away statutory rights.

7. Copyright and permitted use

Course content is supplied under the academy’s Single-Student Course Licence. Students may use purchased materials for their own learning and adapt business forms for their own studio operations. They may not resell, redistribute, share logins, or use the unadapted learning materials to train third parties without permission, except as the law allows.

8. Privacy and communications

Personal data is processed as explained in the Privacy Notice. Essential account and purchase communications are separate from optional marketing. Marketing messages will be sent only where a valid legal basis exists and with a means to opt out.

9. Support, disputes and law

Complaints may be submitted using the details on the Seller Information page. We will first attempt to resolve issues directly, without preventing a customer from using any applicable consumer body, court or payment-provider process. These terms are intended to operate under South African law, subject to any overriding consumer protections that apply to international customers.

10. Changes

We may revise these terms for future orders. The version accepted at the time of a purchase will be retained or made accessible for transaction records as required by law. Changes will not retrospectively remove acquired consumer rights.
