The structure of a healthy nail unit and the biology behind safe treatments. Below is the proposed syllabus; final scope will be reviewed and may change before release.

Nail matrix, plate, bed, folds, hyponychium and cuticle
Nail growth, keratinisation and natural variation
Skin barrier, sensitivity and common product reactions
Recognising changes beyond a nail technician’s scope
How anatomy informs product application and nail care
Client communication and when not to proceed
