Classic Lash Extensions — Foundations & Application Theory
The principles behind a classic 1:1 lash set: client evaluation, extension selection, placement planning, isolation and quality control.
What you will learn.
This subject is designed for beginners who plan separate, supervised practical training. The outline below is the planned course structure; written manuals and assessments are still being prepared and reviewed.
Learning outcomes
- Explain the difference between classic, cluster and strip lash products.
- Plan an appropriate classic lash design while respecting the health of the natural lashes.
- Identify safe isolation, placement and correction principles for future supervised practice.
Eight study modules
- What a classic set involves
One suitable extension per natural lash; how this differs from strip, cluster and pre-made-volume services.
- Client consultation and expectation setting
Aesthetic goals, natural-lash assessment, informed consent and when to refer.
- Tools, fibres and equipment
Fibre shapes, length, curl, diameter, tweezers and product instructions; avoid one-size-fits-all selection.
- Lash mapping foundations
Designing shape with eye position and natural lash direction; eye-safe visual planning.
- Isolation and working sequence
Why individual natural-lash isolation matters; safe working posture and lash-line boundaries.
- Adhesive handling concepts
Manufacturer-specific working conditions, product compatibility and exposure controls.
- Quality review
Symmetry, direction, stuck-together lashes, excessive load, discomfort and inappropriate adhesion.
- Client aftercare and follow-up
Written care guidance, normal shedding, maintenance expectations and when to seek medical advice.
Workbook and design exercises
- Complete three paper lash maps on supplied eye-shape templates.
- Compare three fictional product-specification cards and justify a conservative selection.
- Review an illustrated placement-quality checklist.
